My Excellent Adventure

My initial plan is to write an institutional autobiography in which I explore the ways in which educational institutions have both shaped and unshaped my identity and purpose as an educator. In my neverending quest for the ideal "career," I have both attended and worked at an interesting range of institutions. I have observed the ways in which politics and institutional culture can deeply impact one's education.

Your seem to be on the right path of creating a detailed institutional autobiography because you understand that you must explore how education "shaped" and "unshaped" you. The trials and tribulations from your quest will surely provide a more truthful insight into the controversial debate between the politics and culture of education.

I love any project whose title is an allusion to Bill & Ted! (Here's to Keanu.)

Okay, more seriously, I agree with Nicole that the idea of "shaping" and "unshaping" is really interesting--nicely phrased and focused. I'd like to hear more about what you mean by this. Might Miller help you explore the idea? Perhaps Rodriquez? Even Ishiguro?

Just be sure not to tackle too many educational institutions. This might dilute what you're able to say about any one of them.
